Curiosity is Our Springboard
We begin every client partnership with questions.
We listen. We reflect. We imagine beyond the usual. We offer choices. We uncover what makes strategic and budgetary sense: whether for an event, donor engagement strategy, annual fund, or capital campaign.
Intention is our Guiding Principle
We present an intentional and bespoke roadmap for the project that incorporates your organizational mission, ethos and donor landscape.

Our goal is to help you strengthen your existing donor relationships and create new ones.
We believe that strong donor engagement is the scaffolding that supports financial success.
Realizing your goals is our mission.
Meet Daryl
I was born to question, to plan and to create elevated experiences with laser focus on both details and impact - whether one-on-one donor meetings, or 1,000 person events. Sometimes we don’t see the thread of our professional experience until we look back.
Yes, I helped plan the Senior Dance in High School; brought professional musical artists to perform at my University; co-chaired the Senior Class Gift in college; was obsessed with my wedding details; was President of the NYC Chapter of my Alumni Association; started a party favor business; planned two Bat Mitzvahs and many birthday parties, bridal showers and dinner parties; volunteered at my daughters’ schools and planned Benefits, Book Fairs and more; and was the Parent Association President at two schools.
One day the life of Daryl the volunteer all changed. I was asked to apply for the Alumnae Relations Manager position at my daughters’ school. Truth be told, I thought I was invited to lunch to talk about my own philanthropy to the school!
Although I didn’t have direct job experience - or so I thought, I was hired to conceive of and plan the alumnae programs, including an annual Reunion Weekend. Within a year, my portfolio expanded and I became the Director of Events and Alumnae Relations. Planning events for the entire school included the Annual Benefit, New Parent Events, Special Programs, Campaign Events and a host of other events for students, alumnae, parents and friends.
I was in my element and I realized all that led me to this point was not accidental: I was drawn to this profession. Conceiving of, planning and executing a variety of mission-based and Capital Campaign events was exhilarating and rewarding. After over seven years, and creating well over one hundred fundraising events and/or donor-relationship building experiences, I started DGS Consulting to help a broader demographic of organizations amplify their mission and maximize their donor engagement, financially and otherwise.
